SAKTILAB Molecular Simulation Laboratory

Bio

Professor Aditya Wibawa Sakti graduated from Waseda University, Japan, in 2018 and founded SaktiLab in April 2023. His research focuses on computational chemistry, molecular simulations, and the development of computational tools for investigating complex chemical systems. He is actively involved in the development of the Computational Molecular and Material Design Environment, with an emphasis on making computational chemistry workflows more accessible, automated, and efficient.

His current research primarily employs molecular dynamics simulations and electronic-structure calculations to understand molecular interactions, reaction mechanisms, and the microscopic behavior of condensed-phase systems. His research interests span chemical reactions in complex environments, solvation and intermolecular interactions, materials and molecular systems, and the integration of different computational methods to study chemical phenomena across multiple spatial and temporal scales.

A major direction of his work is the development and application of computational methodologies that connect molecular-level simulations with experimentally relevant chemical properties and processes. Through SaktiLab, he aims to combine method and software development with practical applications of computational chemistry to challenging problems in chemistry and materials science.

Outside research, he enjoys video games, books, chess, and ファミチキ.
